Nizami Gəncəvinin elmi baxışlarının təhlilinə həsr edilmiş monoqrafiya işıq üzü görüb

The monograph "Thinker in the shadow of poetic fame: about Nizami Ganjavi's scientific worldview" written by the head of the Secretariat of the President of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in Political Sciences, Associate Professor Eldar Gurban oglu Amirov is devoted to the analysis of Nizami's scientific views. As it is known, the issue of the scientific outlook of this genius thinker is one of the least studied problems of Nizami legacy and requires new research.
As an introduction to the book, the researches of Azer-baijani scholars and foreign authors on the subject have-been brought to the readers' attention, and the aspects of the scientific problem awaiting its solution have been ex-pressed.
The first chapter of the monograph deals with the life of the great thinker, full of deprivations, losses, persever-ance and examples of perfection, as well as the socio-political, literary and cultural features of the environment where he lived and created.
The second chapter touches on Nizami's value of knowledge and the scientist's high status in society, as well as his views on the practical significance of science. In this chapter, Nizami's views on the benefits of scientific practice are compared with the views of the geniuses of the medie-val Muslim East, such as Al-Farabi, Ibn Sina ( known in the West as Avicenna), Ibn Rushd (known in the West as Averroes), and Nasir al-Din al-Tusi.
The third, fifth and sixth chapters reflect the analysis of Nizami's views on socio-political issues, natural sciences, medicine and psychology, respectively. In the fourth chap-ter, the importance of "Khamsa"(Quintet) as a historical source is emphasized in the example of specific events and individuals, and the features of Nizami's method of present-ing historical events are considered.
The book is intended for researchers studying Nizami's legacy, including the history of the development of socio-political and scientific thought in the medieval Muslim East, as well as readers who are closely interested in these topics.
The scientific editor of the monograph is the President of ANAS, Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, the editors are the vice-presidents of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbayli, Academician Irada Huseynova, the director of the Central Scientific Library of ANAS, professor Mammad Aliyev, the reviewer is the director of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of ANAS, professor Ilham Mammadzadeh.
